Honorary member No. 6 (1999) - Bjørn Erik Olsen

The following can be said about this year's candidate:

"Like the sea eagle, he knows that he must display endurance and patience in order to achieve his goals. He has therefore spent innumerable hours in the realm of the sea eagle in order to secure his best shots. We are not talking about someone who is a threat to the stock, but more likely the person who has the honour of having taken the best photos ever of our city's fantastic, feathered mascot.

He gladly shares these images with us locally, by way of his press photos, and elsewhere in his countless photo books from the Bodø area. Similarly, he has always been happy to help the Sea Eagle Club.

We are also delighted that one of his eagle photos was voted "Nature Photo of the Year 1997" by the magazine "Photography". He also won this price in 1996 for his photo of two seagulls.

On these grounds the Board of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø unanimously recommends that

BJØRN ERIK OLSEN be appointed honorary member No. 6 of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø.
