Honorary Member No. 2 (1995) - Harald Misund
Harald Misund, in collaboration with the Bodø Outdoor Committee on recreation and conservation areas (General Plan 1976), and as leader of the Bodø freshwater fisheries committee, has been responsible for the development of salmon ladders in the Futelva and Børelva rivers.
He was also in charge of the Norwegian side of the project for the relocation of Norwegian sea eagle young to Scotland in the periods between 1975 and 1985, and 1993 and 1998. The sea eagle had been wiped out in Scotland in 1916, but in 2000 there were 22 nesting pairs, and over one hundred young had taken to the air. Since the sea eagle was protected in Norway in the autumn of 1968, he has recorded and followed up the stock in the greater Bodø area.
The Board of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø unanimously recommends that
HARALD MISUND be appointed honorary member No.2 of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø
