Honorary member No. 9 (2002) - Inger Ellen Nicolaisen

There are several similarities between the sea eagle and this year's candidate for honorary membership of the Sea Eagle Club:

"Like the sea eagle, the candidate has put all her energy and soul into finding good nesting sites - both within and outside of our region. The fact that this creates activity and jobs serves to strengthen her candidacy.

Like the sea eagle, this year's candidate is an excellent ambassador for Bodø who is frequently retained as a speaker at courses and conferences. Fearlessly and to the point, she puts forward both professional and social issues, and in the ensuing panel debates, nothing is held back. Outspoken, but not impertinent, is a suitable description.

As a member of the Values Commission, the candidate also sets the agenda and debates what values our interpersonal relationships should be based on. Her deep felt commitment coupled with concrete measures for the benefit of some of the most vulnerable among us, homeless orphans, has given some of these children hope and faith and a greater zest for life.

The media have also shown considerable interest in our candidate, who over the past few years has been given major coverage in specialist magazines as well as newspapers and weekly magazines. The fact that our candidate has her headquarters in Bodø, and is also both woman and mother, makes it easy for the board, on the above grounds, to recommend that

INGER ELLEN NICOLAISEN be appointed honorary member No. 9 of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø.
