Honorary member No. 3 (1996) - Kåre Johannesen
Kåre was county agronomist by profession, the first leader of Bodin Outdoor Committee, and a representative of the Labour Party on Bodin municipal council in 1969. He has been a visionary politician and developed projects for the Department of the Environment with a view to purchasing and contractually binding areas of land for the use of the general public.
He had Karlsøyvær listed as a heritage site and led the purchase of the Lister recreational area in Kjerringøy. The outdoor committee then also bought Austvika.
His efforts have resulted in the securing of important recreational areas in Bodø.
Later he became leader of the Bodø building authority and the General Planning Committee, the latter submitting a major proposal to the city council regarding the planning of the city of Bodø.
The Board of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø unanimously recommends on the above grounds that
