The following may be said of this year's candidate:

"In her own special way, she has been a driving force and champion for those who are neither seen nor heard too well in their daily struggle for a share of the benefits of our welfare state. Based on the understanding that everyone needs a good basis and a feeling of security in order to live a worthy life, she has for many years been busy collecting money for causes most of us take for granted as the responsibility of the government.

At the same time, she has become a well-known and well-loved figure in the urban landscape, with a fervent commitment that both local industry and the city's inhabitants greatly appreciate. The media, too, have shown considerable interest in our candidate and her efforts for the elderly, which have been given due coverage on the radio and TV, and in newspapers and magazines."

On these grounds the Board of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø unanimously recommends that

SHIRLEY BOTTOLFSEN be appointed honorary member No. 10 of the Sea Eagle Club of Bodø.
